Darrell V. Poer was born in Bloomington, Indiana. He served honorably in the United States Marine Corps and, upon discharge, attended the Divers Academy of the Eastern Seaboard. He worked underwater in the Ohio river until a recession forced him back onto dry land. Waterlogged, he opted for college, earning degrees in political science and law. He currently lives on Lake Monroe outside Bloomington with his two cats, Bandit and Maggie, and his dog, Jingo. This is his first novel
